Thirteen workers were inside the complex when the blaze ignited around four in the morning. Eight individuals escaped safely, while rescue teams recovered four bodies from the ruins.

The Hellenic Fire Service deployed forty firefighters and fifteen vehicles to combat the fierce flames and thick smoke that severely compromised the structural integrity of the factory building.

Investigations into the exact origin of the deadly incident remain ongoing as authorities focus on site safety assessments and offering vital support to the affected families.
