The United States struck three Iranian oil tankers, including one off the coast of Kharg Island, near Iran’s major oil export hub, after Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) launched ballistic missiles at two U.S. Navy vessels.
The U.S. warships successfully evaded multiple attacks by IRGC forces targeting a U.S. aircraft carrier and guided-missile destroyers. No U.S. service members were injured in the attacks.
