Barbabella reported that Trump\u2019s cardiovascular imaging was \u201cperfectly normal,\u201d with no evidence of arterial narrowing affecting blood flow or abnormalities involving the heart or major blood vessels. He also said the heart chambers were normal in size and that the imaging showed no signs of inflammation or clotting.<\/p>\n
The physician similarly described the abdominal imaging as \u201cperfectly normal,\u201d stating that the major organs examined appeared healthy and were functioning within normal limits.<\/p>\n
### Questions over transparency<\/p>\n
The release of the physician\u2019s memorandum provided more information about the examination, but the episode also highlighted questions surrounding presidential medical transparency.<\/p>\n
The White House had initially declined to specify what part of Trump\u2019s body had been examined, even after reporters repeatedly asked about the procedure. That lack of information generated additional media attention, particularly because advanced imaging is not ordinarily part of a basic physical examination.<\/p>\n
Trump continued to characterize the results positively and maintained that his health was strong. His physician\u2019s December memorandum likewise concluded that he remained in excellent overall health.<\/p>\n
